LinkedIn is an online service for professional networking that allows individuals, businesses, and employees to show their work experience and/or business information.

You can connect with employees, employers, colleagues, potential clients/customers, and even use it as a job searching tool! 

Looks like you have nailed the basics, so let’s talk about how you can utilize LinkedIn to grow your business in the coming year, 2021. Assuming, you have already created a LinkedIn for your business, let’s get started. 

#1 Connect Employees

After you have finished setting up your LinkedIn account, begin connecting your employees to your business’s LinkedIn. This will open up the range that your account can reach. The more employees that are connected, the better. However, make sure your employees are reliable and appropriate when it comes to LinkedIn so they don’t drag your companies name. Note that when creating posts you can send notifications to your employees to ensure higher views and interactions.

Remember to add LinkedIn to everyone’s email signature. It is always beneficial when you connect all of your business’s social media platforms to each other. Also, consider tagging employees in posts and have them make original posts relating to your business. By mentioning other people in your posts, it will increase views because their followers will see where they were mentioned.

#2 Add LinkedIn Groups to Your Page

As a page, you don’t have the option of being a part of a group but you can feature a group on your business’s page. In order to do this, you need to great of joining a group using your LinkedIn profile and then adding it to your page. The advantage of LinkedIn groups is that they increase the chance of your content being seen because you are connected with a bigger group of people. 

If you are interested in creating a group using your profile then follow the steps below. 

  1. Click the “Work icon” from the top right corner of the homepage.
  2. From “Visit more LinkedIn products”, select “Groups”.
  3. Click “Create a new group” from the top right corner
  4. Fill in the required information: group name, about this group, group rules, privacy
  5. Finally, click the “Create button”.

If you are interested in featuring your group or a group on your page then follow the steps below. 

  1. Go to your LinkedIn page. On the left sidebar, you’ll see the “Featured groups” tab.
  2. Click “Add a LinkedIn group”
  3. Select the group you want to feature (you can add up to 10 groups)
  4. Click “Save”. If you want to delete a group, click the “Delete icon”.

#3 Video Content

Include videos in your content because it has proven effective in increasing views and interactions. The reason for this is that videos use more of the 5 senses so it pulls more attention than images. According to 87% of marketers, the algorithm is especially favored towards video content. You can use videos in your posting or in LinkedIn Stories which have been a new feature as of 2020.
